Tech Support

The following is a list of services provided by the ETA.  If a service is not on this list then the ETA will either add that service to this list, if it is agreed upon by the advisory of the ETA and the superintendent of the school district, or provide training to have that service absorbed by the district.

  • On­site and Remote Computer and Printer Technician Services including: Computer\Server\Network\Software\Printer\Security Camera\Tablet

    • installation

    • setup

    • maintenance

  • Network Support Services

    • Physical and virtual server support (Windows, Linux, etc.)

    • Management of local and hosted virtualization systems

    • Switches, wireless, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANS), trunks and routers (Layer 2 & 3 devices)

    • Microsoft Windows Active Directory, including:

      • Domain Controllers

      • Group Policy

      • User and Group Management (a person on site will be given rights to reset passwords and add users)

      • DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, etc.

      • Active Directory updates and upgrades

      • File and print service management

    • Managing physical cable plant including demarcation point, fiber optics, main distribution frame (MDF) and any intermediate distribution frame (IDF) required for voice, data and video communications (where applicable)

    • Web proxy (Squid) management

    • Backup and restoration services

    • On-site and remote network support

    • Mission critical network services monitoring

    • Emergency dispatch when needed

  • Limited Network Wiring

  • User Help Desk and Incident Reporting Auditing

    • If the current system will not support this, then ETA will move the district to a new web service, then train the district.

  • Technology training

  • ETA will support the following systems to make sure that they are operational but will not maintain the accounts and tests.  ETA will make a one time upload of users if the system allows.

    • Any web based or hosted software that requires more than a one time upload of users (example: Accelerated Reader and Alexandria)

  • Facilitate and support Wide Area Network and collaborative Internet purchase with ISD/ESD partner districts
